KEL aims to provide secure, positive and vibrant environments that are responsive to children’s interests, strengths and abilities.
Our play environments are enriched with collections of resources which support various learning styles and provide opportunities for the children to create and imagine, touch, feel and construct, explore processes and concepts, solve problems, collaborate within groups and express ideas.
We support children’s academic learning in literacy and numeracy through the play environments by providing books and open-ended resources such as natural materials, authentic artefacts, tools and recyclable materials.
We ensure easy access to resources within the learning environment to support children’s self-motivations, promote self-help skills and respect for our environment. We encourage parents’ and children’s contributions and ideas to create a stimulating learning environment.
